Make some noise? I am.

Make Some Noise

Krystal Meyers

Yeah you're so convinced
Of how it's supposed to be
I know you're confused
Don't take it out on me
I'm free to try
I'm free to dream
When it all goes wrong
We're not afraid to scream
Cause the future now is ours babes
Oh, oh, shout it out

Get ready 'cause I get loud
Cause we're born to make some noise
Don't tell me we should turn it down
We were born to make some noise
Make some noise

We're not the enemy
You might be surprised
Don't need hypocrisy to open up our eyes
We don't need your mood
Don't need a uniform
This is who we are
We won't be ignored
Cause the future now is ours babes

Get ready 'cause I get loud
Cause we're born to make some noise
Don't tell me we should turn it down
We were born to make some noise
Make some noise

Nobody's going to shut us out, yeah
Cause we're born to make some noise
Great time, so figure out
Come on girls and boys
Make some noise

I'm pretty sure some or even many of you have heard of krystal meyers. I have even written a short review on her music a year back. But now, what has it become. Her music has indeed been phenominal. Songs playing right out from her heart. Great songs that say SOMETHING BIG! Especially to teenagers around the world. Her great hits range from Anticonformity to her first album's lead single, The Way to Begin. I have to admit that some of her songs have assisted me in times of difficulty with peer pressure. And when i first reviewed her music, my concern was to "what the music would become". And her latest hit single "Make Some Noise" is indeed making alot of noise. The music which takes on a Punk Rock theme carries strong words from her heart. And in this particular song, it carries a 'war' cry for teens to stand up for their faith and claim the world as ours. Which is indeed a great stand.

However, the cause for concern now is what the music video carries. Is the daughter of Rick Meyers promoting the lustful lifestyle of clubbing and pubbing? Is she saying that dancing the way she did in the video is pleasing to the Lord? And what message exactly is the video carrying? I believe this is something we all as believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ should stop and think about. especially to the musicians who plan on writing songs for the Lord. I do not in any way see this as edifying to the body of Christ. Is the song Anticonformity no longer applicable then? When the video is conforming to the way hollywood does it. Or how bout Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? Is she not like them in the way she dances and sings? I'm not trying to be a critic here. But when i see a need for concern, i have to voice it out.

These are the last days, and time is really short. When Christ returns, is this the way He would want to see us? I think Krystal Meyers may want to reconsider her form of expression.
